Is Your Child Ready for School? Here’s WHAT you need to know before you sign up for a free school-readiness assessment with Future Nation Schools (FNS).
Early childhood development brings benefits such as excitement for education, communication skills, social skills and more. Quality programmes can foster valuable skills, strengthen the workforce, grow the economy and more.
We believe in giving every child an equal chance of success at the beginning of their formal schooling career. A school-readiness assessment addresses the gaps between knowledge and ability. This gives children the opportunity to perform better in school before they reach Grades R or 1.
It can be costly to provide the correct form of intervention when a student is already of school-going age. We are offering a free school-readiness assessment for any child between the ages of 4 – 7.
Your child will be assessed with a group of children. The assessments are conducted by trained teachers who have experience and knowledge in Early Childhood Development. Our qualified Educational Psychologist oversees the marking of the assessments to ensure professional and quality feedback.
It is important to note that a child cannot fail or pass this assessment. The purpose of a school-readiness assessment is to give parents advice on whether a child is ready to start school.
The assessment can take between 2 and 3 hours to complete, depending on the group’s abilities. You can expect to hear back from us within 7 to 14 days from the assessment taking place. After the test has been evaluated, we will invite you to discuss the results with one of our expert school readiness advisors.
