Driving question: How can we design a collaborative learning space where students can teach and learn from each other using learning videos, charts and cards?

Grade: Grade 6

Project Descriptor:

This project blended elements of language arts, visual arts, technology and communication skills to cultivate a comprehensive educational experience. Students produced a series of videos that delved into various academic subjects, thereby aiding in the promotion and preservation of these fields’ knowledge richness. These videos can be shared both online and in classroom settings to engage a wide audience eager to explore and appreciate these subjects more deeply.

Additionally, students created their own learning charts to help peers tackle challenging topics. They also developed and used learning cards based on topics they have learned, to evaluate each other’s understanding.

Key objectives of this project included:

  • Emphasising the value of collaborative learning.
  • Enhancing skills in designing and using educational videos, charts and cards for effective knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrating mastery in a specific subject by both teaching and learning from peers.

Computing – QR codes, online quiz, website, video editor, interactive videos and applications

First Additional Language – punctuation, grammar and language.
