Driving question: How can we, as active citizens, promote a healthy and inclusive community environment?

Grade: Grade 5

Project Descriptor:

During this project, Grade 5 learners explored what it meant to be active and responsible citizens within their own communities.

Learners investigated real-life community challenges related to health, safety, inclusivity and environmental care, and examined how individual and collective actions could contribute to positive change. Through sustained enquiry, group discussions and hands-on activities, learners developed a deeper understanding of civic responsibility and social awareness.

The project culminated in a community improvement showcase where learners presented practical solutions, visual displays and action plans aimed at creating healthier and more inclusive community environments.
