Driving question: How can we use Mathematics and data handling effectively to collect and present data on a number of issues related to FNS?

Project Descriptor:

In this project, students enthusiastically investigated key issues affecting Future Nation Schools by collecting, organising, analysing and presenting data to the student council. Their work gave the student body a powerful voice, highlighting concerns that often go unnoticed and offering valuable insights for school management to consider. The project aimed to equip learners with essential skills in data handling, empowering them to gather meaningful information and use it effectively to showcase challenges and propose solutions for the betterment of their school community.

Subject integration:

  • English – Students developed their ability to present and articulate data clearly and confidently, refining their communication skills to effectively share their findings with others.
  • Computing – Students confidently used Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word, to organise, analyse and present their data in clear and professional formats, enhancing both their technical skills and their ability to communicate findings effectively.
