The effect of anxiety on academic performance
By Ntokozo Twala
Anxiety is a pervasive psychological phenomenon that affects all individuals of any age, and high school students are no exception. It is well-documented that anxiety can have a profound impact on academic performance, specifically in the context of high school, where academic demands are high and students face an array of challenges.
This project aims to thoroughly demonstrate the importance of understanding the relationship between anxiety and academic performance as it does not only have an emotional and behavioral impact on students, but can cognitively affect a student reducing the functionality of their memory and concentration.
